Community Support

Each year, a percentage of funds that are unclaimed are donated to Vancouver Foundation, for charitable purposes.

Since 2003, the BC Unclaimed Property Society has donated $11.5 million to Vancouver Foundation to help communities across our province.

Vancouver Foundation was established in 1943, with a single gift of $1,000. Today, Vancouver Foundation is Canada's largest community foundation and holds over 1,300 endowment funds set up by individual donors, non-profit societies and businesses. Each year, Vancouver Foundation grants millions of dollars to hundreds of charities across the province.
